Have you wondered what he uses to stand on in the kitchen? It is the Little Helper FunPod.
It gets used everyday as he prefers to work along side me in the kitchen rather than on his own lower bench or table.
I really like the idea of the child having a stable platform to stand on in the kitchen rather than have them balancing on a stool or steps. Here are my pros and cons of the FunPod
- the surface the child stands on is height adjustable
- really solid and stable
- the child is enclosed on four sides
- really easy to clean
- looks good
- the child needs to be lifted in and out of the pod, making the child dependant on the adult for access to the bench/sink (this could also be a pro if you didn't want to give your child this freedom)
- can only be used by one child at a time
The only other similar product I am aware of is the Learning Tower. I like the look of the Learning Tower as it can be used by two children at once however I am concerned about how much space it would take up in the kitchen. I am not sure what we will do when our next child is old enough to use the kitchen bench - buy another FunPod or invest in a Learning Tower?
