Places we love to visit in Brisbane! We have been living in Brisbane for just over two years so there are many places we would still like to go. Please feel free to leave your recommendations or suggestions in the comments.
Southbank including the Queensland Museum (below) and the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) .
We love to visit Southbank via the City Cat Ferry, it adds to the fun and excitement.
Also at Southbank the Wheel of Brisbane has amazing views.
Southbank is lovely at night and there are lots of child-friendly eateries. You can also take a dip in the beach area below.
Eat Street Markets, Northshore, Hamilton. Open Friday and Saturday nights.
Pictured above and below Where the Wild Things Are children's book store in West End. Fantastic range of children's picture books and chapter books. Next door to The Avid Reader, which also has a small coffee shop towards the back.
The children's bookshop The Book Garden (above). It is nestled away in Toowong (Brisbane). It has a good range of children's picture books and reference books. Has a good section for educators (parents and teachers) including resources by Claire Warden.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. You can feed the kangaroos (our favourite) or hold a koala.
