Brisbane Botanic Gardens

Brisbane Botanic Gardens #1

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha are on our way home from school. It is the perfect place to drop in on or to visit as we did yesterday, on the weekend. I am so in love with this place, it's magical.

We haven't explored as much of Brisbane as I would have liked. I do so much solo parenting and tend to stick within my comfort zone. However, I'm committed, we must explore more!

This is inside the Tropical Dome - I insist we go here every time we visit the gardens.

This picture is from the Fern House. Otis was complimented so many times on his shirt - it's from here but please check out their Kickstarter campaign  - organic cotton and it is handmade in Cairns!

The Japanese Gardens.

Brisbane Botanic Gardens #14

This is the first time we have explored this far, we made it to the lookout near the Bougainvillea but not to the far lake. One day we will drive up to the lake (as you can do on weekdays) and explore from there.

The playground is fun but the boys were exhausted after already exploring the gardens and walking so far.

Gorgeous seedpods - I wish we could take them home!

I've posted a few more photographs of our visit to the gardens here. We've made a list of places we would like to go to around Brisbane but please feel free to leave your suggestions.
