This is The Secret of Childhood Montessori School 3-6 classroom in Switzerland. This classroom opened in January 2017 and offers a curriculum in English and French. For further information visit their contact page. It looks so warm and inviting. Congratulations to the staff for getting this gorgeous classroom ready and best wishes for the new year!
Above you can see language shelves with metal insets in the centre. Below is a comfortable reading area. I love the greenery and well-considered art placed at the child's level.
This is Yahalom Montessorii in Jerusalem, Israel. This is the only Jewish Montessori School in Israel. Yahalom Montessori is working hard to expand their school and you can see their Cause Match page here. This is a good example of how Montessori schools can operate in a religious context.
Above you can see practical life shelves and below are early language shelves.
This is Al Qamar Academy's elementary environment in Chennai, India. It's so interesting to see three distinctly Montessori schools in vastly different areas of the world. You can see clearly in this classroom how shelves can be used to create separate work areas.
I was able to see some of the games and materials on the right shelf above (these are all suitable for the home). The materials include Pictionary, Spell-O-Fun, Checkers, Mastermind, Build A Sentence, Mechanix and World Safari. I like to show the classroom without children (mainly for privacy reasons) however when you look at images of the classroom full of children, it really comes alive. Below you can see some of the terrariums the children made in a workshop.
Thank you so much to the staff of Al Qamar Academy for the peek inside your classroom. It is so nice to feature a Montessori elementary environment!
