Here are some fantastic articles that I have been enjoying this week:
Preparing the Environment for the Work of Wool and the really lovely shelves above at Montessori Handwork written by Carol, a Montessori teacher in New Zealand. I'm in love with her site, she has lots of ideas and tips for handwork in a Montessori environment, all really authentic.
Our Montessori Inspired Kitchen at Montessori in Motion - this kitchen is perfection and the post describes a little about setting it up and how it works, it's for a child who is currently two years old.
Have a look at the design of this school! Maria Montessori Mazatlán School in Mexico - "The Montessori model is not a conventional education system, so classrooms should facilitate dynamics where children can experiment and wake their senses. The classroom form should favor these dynamics, so the recommended space should be centrifugal instead of linear." The school design is amazing and is based on a 19 module hexagonal plan at Arch Daily.
This is a beautiful interview with Montessori parent Erin Perez Hagstrom (from Calivintage) at Noble Carriage.
I Tried The Montessori Parenting Method, Because My Kids Need To Be More Independent - "Teaching my kids these skills isn't about making my own life easier — it's about contributing to their growth as human beings." by Mary Sauer at Romper.
How do you handle television in your home? I like this article Montessori: Children and TV at Swiss Lark
Getting Dressed at 3 Years Old at Our Montesstory, it's good to read how others approach this!
I also really like this science experiment at Montessori From The Heart, it's so easy to do, I'll have to give it a try with the boys!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
