Montessori Toddler - A Few New Activities
A few new activities, at 24 months. Above is a sock matching game. At first, I was disappointed thinking it might have been better to just match with real socks, but there are eighteen pairs in this set and Otto loves it and does it over and over.
This is a junior Colorino game. I was getting ready to donate it when Otto started playing with it again. I take a couple of the clear bases and a small bag of dots with us when I take Otto to a workout class. He simply enjoys connecting the dots to the base. Later I hope he will use it for matching (there are cards that you can put underneath) or for patterning. This has been an unexpected hit!
These are Squares on a Pegged Dowel (similar here). Otto finds it frustrating and hasn't mastered it yet.
Fantastic new Autumn self-inking stamps. Otto enjoys taking the lids off and putting the lids back on, just as much as he likes the stamping. I adore the pinecone, acorn and, the conker stamps.
An old activity with an upgrade. Transferring beans with what I think is called a Squeezy Tweezer.
This is a newish crinkle cutter for Otto. Today I got out three different cutters/knives and gave him the choice of what to use. He gave them all a try but settled on this one for slicing the zucchini and carrot. It's actually the first crinkle cutter that I ever used with my children back when Caspar (now 11yrs) was little!
