Otto's Montessori Toddler Room - At Two Years & 10 Months, Sydney.
Over the weekend we put a new arm-chair into Otto's room so I had to move things around to make it fit. I also put back in a little table and chair for Otto to work at. Otto is growing so fast I thought it was a good time to document this space. Want to see more of his room?
This layout is similar to his room in the UK. Low shelves, wardrobe, bed, and a table. The idea is always the same, to create a child-centred space that is warm, comfortable, and cozy.
A stool so that he can reach the light switch. A few toys and materials on low shelves. A minimal child accessible wardrobe.
This is where I always find him drawing! This is the first artwork I've put in the room. A small picture at the child's level.
This is his new reading corner. The grey arm-chair is new and Otto loves it. The seat is nice and deep so it's really a comfortable place to curl up with a book. We had a large plant here but we've put it downstairs for the winter. We use the heater a lot upstairs right now and it wasn't happy.
